Renée Anderson’s work represents the better part of a lifetime in the performing and visual arts. Born in Whittier, California, she found success early as a principal on “The Dean Martin Show”, where under the stage name Tara Leigh she spent the last four seasons of the show honing her considerable talents for dance, acting, and operatic vocal performance. She performed extensively in L.A. area musical theater, including numerous productions at the famed Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, before moving on to New York, where she made her Broadway debut in the long-running musical “A Chorus Line.” Between evening performances, Renée exercised her passion for painting by enrolling in daytime art classes at Columbia University. Later, and back in Los Angeles, she continued acting, taking on guest starring roles in primetime television, and most notably originating the popular role of Alexandria Quartermaine during a three-year stint on the Emmy award-winning daytime drama “General Hospital.”

Shortly after concluding her role on “General Hospital”, Renée turned to painting full-time. Her dynamic abstract works have won admirers worldwide, and her original oil paintings on canvas have been purchased by collectors throughout the United States and abroad.

She continues to live and paint in the Los Angeles area, where she makes her home with her longtime partner, Rob, and her wolf-husky dog, Kiska.
